One of the most important things about rustproofing a car is to make sure the drain holes in the bottom of doors/rockers stay open. Ziebart was notorious for flowing down to the bottom and plugging these up. Before you know it your panels are holding water (salt, silt, etc.). That water will find it's way through any crack or pinhole in the rustproofing/paint and bingo, rust.

There's 3 square holes at the bottom of each door. The fronts even have a little white plastic bezel with a rubber flap over them. If you open the door look along the inside edge at the bottom, you'll see 'em. Not sure about the rockers but I'm certain there's something there for drainage.

I have a 91. It has never been rustproofed. After living its whole life in PA and NJ there is no rust on the car at all. It has galvanized panels. Even the spots where stone chips have taken the paint completely off are not rusting.

I had the "lifetime warranty" on the rustproofing on an 80 VW Rabbit. Once the car starts rusting, they will put more rustproofing on it. Will they repair the rust? No.
