20FS, looks like your in Calgary right? Just a note that by law you can take your car to whom ever you want to repair the car. (law prevents kickbacks). I would suggest telling telling your insurance company what Mongomery did, show them, and take it to someone like Contemporary Coachworks, Concourse, A1, and have them send the bill to Mongomery. (I would recomend Contemporary personally, done some nice work on my cars.) YOU pay the insurance co. for their service, your car does NOT look like it did when it left the factory.

Ouch that car took a hit....Tow truck thief?? freak'n bastards!!! Damn that is like pouring salt in a cut!

Off the subject...how did the paint match up ?

Did they use factory Mazda parts?

WTF with hood not being aligned?? I would ask if the bodyman, the quality control man and the detailer if they a freak'n blind.

How does it drive now?

The paint matched exacaly becuase the car was only like a couple months old, and yes they used Genuine OEM Mazda parts (400 dollars for a dual proj head light!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

My friend who had an accedent with his accord went to A1, and after they were done you couldn't tell the diffrence, the paint matched up exacaly even though the car was 10+ years old. i will take my car to A1 if they can't fix it, the body shop gave it to mazda to fix lol those idiots, they can't figure out why the engine light keeps comming on.

Sorry to hear about your accident 20FS.
I was looking through your pics and I noticed that the accident was right near where I live (I live closer to Crowchild Tr. though)!

Looks like that other car was turning left onto 14th St off of 20th Ave. 20th Ave is sometimes scary to drive...my friend got hit when we were going down 20th right at 13th St. I drive up and down 20th every day to work in my Pro. You really have to watch your *** on that road.

From your pics it looks more like you got hit more on the driver side than in the front. I believe there's a diagram in the manual that shows in what situations the air bags deploy. IIRC, it's like 30 degrees to the left or right and anytime it's head on.

Why is everyone telling 20FS to drop his insurance company if they don't make good on the repairs? If the accident wasn't his fault, then the other guys insurance company is the one paying for the repairs. He has to take the matter up with them. Not his own company. Just wanted to say that. At any rate, press that other guys insurance company for 100% satisfaction and good luck.

I know how you feel bud. Some dumbass in the school parking lot ran into my door with me in the car waiting in line like the rest of the normal people, he was speeding like a dumbass. Anyways, the shop we took it to totally fucked me over! Man I was pissed off! First off the moldings on the door were over-sized, i mean, what idiot can't tell the difference between OEM and that huge thing? 2nd The pulled my "good" window motor and replaced with a bad one when they put new door on, which actually was in shitty *** condition. When I drove to pick it up, they were revving my motor up in the garage! WTF When I was driving it off, I braked for a stop sign and **** was shaking and vibrating, those ******* ragged my car out and warped my rotors! Insurance in a matter of words told me to **** off they didn't care. One night soon after they had a really nice Mustang GT they had repainted and had it sitting out for sale fenced in ofcourse, its amazing what several gallons of paint thinner can do

Only thing I can see is just keep on going back again and again for any little thing you notice right away. Don't ever think you can just live with something because it is not that bad because it will eat at you to no end and will become the only thing you think of. That is way I have my pro5 I just had to get rid of my 99 Sentra SE after I caused $11,000 (car was 5 months old) of front end damage to it. I was never the same and I wound up not really like the car at all and just wanting to ditch it. Like they say it is never the same when it is something a serious as this. Good luck and I hope you can get it back to new.

when i got it fixed, the stupid body shop misaligned my body kit and it was so crooked you could see it from 20 meters away, my tranny was still fuct up, the shifter was completly outta place, their spilled some black sh¡t inside my engine back and i dunno what the hell it is, the forgot to tie down the engine block heater plug so while driving the car it woulda got caught in the fan and tore **** apart, the head lights were aimed incorrectly, the interior was dirty as hell, the engine idles at 2000RPM even when its warmed up WTF!!!!!!!! and to top it all off, while it was towed to the impound lot the fu<ker tow truck driver stole my head unit, my cds and my radar detector and desrtoyed the wiring harness now i have to replace all that stuff
I have the same color P5 as you do and had it only 3 days when some stupid you know what slammed into the front end. She ran an intersection that was being controled by a police officer. The cop told us to go and when we went the girl blew through the intersection and BAM!!!! Mine wasnt so bad though. The front end is messed up but not as bad. Ill post pics when I can. It was her fault even though she didnt get ticketed due to weather but the cop told her it was her fault. When I called her Insurance they said that she said it wasnt her fault. Common please like the cop wasnt there or something. Luckly we got the police report later and it said in bold letters S1V1 WAS AT FAULT FOR FAILING TO YEILD RIGHT OF WAY AND FOR FAILING TO YEILD TO A TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE "The Cop". Its in the shop now. and it will be there for the next couple of weeks

Ya gotta be careful when you get body work done to a car. I had my Shelby painted once at a very reputable shop and while I was inspecting it before I took the keys and signed off I noticed all these hairline scratches! Seems because I was late picking up the car their lot guy decided to do me a favor and "dust it off" with a rag! Needless to say they "cut polished" my car for free.
Got to check EVERYTHING.

so 20... what has happened since? Did you show the car to your insurance co. again?

Actually I dropped it off at Toyota of Orlando. They have a pretty Kick @$$ body shop with one of those paint furnace things where they cook your paint and stuff. I hear they are pretty good at doing repairs.. The this that really pisses me off is that the insurance companies should pay for depreciation too. If I go out and try to sell my car today not only do I take a hit for the Depre. for driving it off the lot but also for it being in a wreck.

well i brought it back to the body shop and they are going to "ATTEMPT" to fix it, i will bet every dime i have that they are not going to fix **** but screw up more things, and the insurance company will also take my car to one of their "SHOPS" to get a damage inspection done on the car because my deck and stuff was stolen and they will "REPLACE" it well since you can't get my deck anymore they are gonna screw my over and get some cheap **** deck and detector. Plus im not allowed to do any modifications to the car so i think i am gonna dit the PR5 and get another one, sure im gonna lose 5000 or so but at least i don't have to deal with stupid **** anymore
