Wierdness with electrical
Ok.. so I'm installing my aftermarket radio and everything seems to be working fine. The radio boots up and everything. Everything works, and I move my car across the parking lot to get better access to some tools. I pull the radio and unplug the harness so I plug in the changer. I replug the harness... nothing. no boot sound, no display... nothing. I pull my adapter harness out, check all the wires, low resistance on all.. no broken wires. So I start to check voltages.. 0 volts on the constant battery lead. WTF? I check all my fuses everywhere.. no problems. Then I notice that my keyless entry isn't working and my trip computer must not be getting power because the keyless doesn't work and the odo display turns off when i turn off the car. I check the voltage on both terminals that hold the radio fuse.... 0 volts all around. I look under the hood... no abnormalities. All fuses intact and working, no obviously broken wires.
So basically I have a break somewhere in a wire between the battery and the interior fuse block. Anyone have any experience with this? I think it must be that the keyless entry and the trip computer are hooked to the same source and thats why they all quit working.... this is frustrating... looking for a wiring diagram / description now.

It would be a big help also if someone could tell me where to find the keyless entry module, where the trip computer wires are and what colors... and maybe a pinout of the interior fuseblock? haha... thats kinda a lot to ask right off the top of people's heads... but hey.. my pro is in need.

Well, me and Gordon fixed it today. My dumb *** pulled apart the fuseblock, which proceded to fall apart everywhere, We put it back together, and everything works! I'm going to map the traces in that thing and make a printed circuit board for it... because the way it's designed is retarded.

No one is really that interested I guess... but DO NOT OPEN YOUR FUSEBLOCK.

Those are a bunch of individual, non secured, non insulated pieces of metal held in place by fuses, the pressure of the case being held together, and a little luck.
I'm going to make my own PCB fuseblock in the near future because this is unacceptable. I'll post something then, cuz I might be persuaded to make some for others who think the same as me.
