I'll pick up chicks or dudes..whoever wants to ride with me! All my friends love the Phantom's "hot look" and think it's a real cool ride.

Plus, I've been modding it so...I vote 'race it and bling it too'!

Whats your number??

I use mine as an enjoyment tool. Driving, modding, or otherwise.

Mine is strickly my daily driver. But of course you have to add some mod's to "make it yours". I will race but only for fun. I can't afford to lose cash.

I use my Protege to get to work and to give me a real sense of frustration in my life. I'm glad you all enjoy your Protege's, however, I'm going back to Hondas as soon as my lease is up in April. This car has been the biggest heap I have ever driven. I have about 55K on it and already the 2nd gear synchro is gone, I have 3 failed wheel bearings, 1 CV joint is on it's last legs, it sounds like a diesel F-250 when it starts with all of the valve noise, my exhaust system has a horrible sound at certain RPM's that makes the car sound like it's eating itself.

Not impressed with Mazda. I have owned Honda's all of my life and bought the Protege as a 2nd car since it was cheap and I figured I'd give it a chance.....boy, am I sorry!!!

Hello,

The question, What's a Protegé good for?

For me it's a great car for getting great gas mileage. 30.74 lmpg.

By the way, I own 2, "03 " Mazda Protegés. One for me and I bought one for my wife. I have had no problems to date.

I recommend the car.

Exactly, same with me...........

I don't enjoy my school, life these days or anything besides the Protege. Maybe that's why I drive 150 kms/day.......

Maybe the Protege could be used for running over people we hate, random stationary objects, or innocent little animals. Nah, I'd never really do those things...it would damage my car too much

WHAT?!?! No "work wagon" option?

Well, that's what I use it for.
