What is the quitest Cat-Back exhaust

I'm looking to change my factory exhaust on my '03 MP5 with a Cat-Back system. I don't want it to be very loud but do want a deep sound and improved power. Please advise!!!

hmm, it's going to be hard to get a solid answer on this because most people only own one cat-back....I have heard the racing Beat exhaust is pretty quiet but we'll see.

I'm getting the OBX exhaust and it has a built-in removeable silencer it may be quieter.

You could always buy whatever exhaust you wanted and just cut your stock resonator out and have it welded into your new cat-back.

I have read from other Protege owners that the exhaust they just installed was a lot louder then they thought.

If you own a Cat-Back system that you are not happy with, I would like to hear from YOU!!!

Yeah the Racing Beat is notoriously quiet. My Injen is waaay louder than the RB ever is. I also believe the GReddy system is pretty quiet as well.

Yeah, had the RB cat back exhaust for a while now, like 2 months then RB started selling em. They r one of the quietest exhausts ive heard so far. I kinda like the rumble from them, doesnt sound like a coffee can muffler.

It sounds like the Racing Beat Cat-Back is a good consideration for me. Thanks to all that have responded to this thread. Any other comments will be considered.

Have Mgnaflow CBs on the P5 and the ES. Deep and mellow. NO rice. Very pleased with sound and performance gains.

I'm going to suggest to the admins that we add an AUDIO section for people to post their sound clips for reasons like this. Should be nice to see.
