No not really .. I haven't bought anything CF in a long time. That intake just always looked kind of unique and interesting so I couldn't resist getting it. I already have a perfectly operational SRI so I dunno what my deal is .. DAMN YOU GARY for offering such an attractive looking item!!

Haha, you didn't buy it from me...did you get it from that guy on msprotege?
Will you do me a favor and tell me if it fits correctly in the engine bay if you only
remove the front part of your CAI? I believe the CF box is attached to your MAF
housing directly.
But I've never actually installed one myself.

Yea I bought it from the guy on MSP.
Here's the problem I'm gonna encounter with it. The first pipe of the Twin Charger intake already has a hole for the IAT sensor, but so does the CF Intake filter. So if I slap it on after the MAF, then I need to plug the IAT hold on the filter or on the first Twin Charger pipe. See pics to make more sense.
So the CF intake seems to be made as a replacement of the stock air filter more than anything, while using the stock pipes cuz the IAT sensor is on the air filter itself just like it comes OEM. I'll figure somethin out tho .. and I'll post pics of the installed product cuz NO ONE has any up!!!

Yes, that is correct. It's just made as a replacement for the stock filter box.
I don't think plugging one of the holes should be much of a problem, so nice
pickup.
If anyone else wants one of these SRI's let me know, I'll give you a killer deal.

Man, I take a few day off the forums and everything goes south!
Sorry to hear about the car though... nothing worse than having your pride and joy wrecked up
On the plus side, most of your internals (engine, interior mods etc) should be OK. You can always transfer them over to a low mileage ES or P5, since you have all the turbo stuff.
Should be cheaper than going the MSP/MP3 route.
Either that or just go all out
