Heh, that's crazy for a rental to have issues like that! Usually they fix big issues like that before renting the car back out.

At least it's a wagon if it happens to me beats crawling through a trunk!

No just the rears so far. They're not bad, but they're damn noisy. I'm having all sorts of extra noises now I never had before .. I think I'm gonna take it all apart during Thanksgiving break and make sure the springs are seated properly. There's still squeaking of some sort coming from the rear driver side, and both sides make little rattling sounds.

I will say the stance looks better cuz now the rear isn't as slammed as it used to be before. Should hopefully allow for some bigger tires too, but that'll have to come later.

The rattling noise is probably the washer that goes under the top nut. You aren't using the replacement top nuts that Tokico provides with their struts, right? They don't go down as far so it'll leave that nut rattling. If you don't have the stock ones still, you can use washers.

Another possibility since this isn't the first time you've had it all apart is that those washers are actually just worn out and even though you think you have it all tightened down, it isn't and it won't be. The washers are cheap from www.onlinemazdaparts.com (e-mail them for the part number I don't remember).

Put the 5 lug spare from the P5 in my car and took the 4 lug spare out. Also, I took pics of a lot of parts for sale. I have to get rid of my 4 lug stock wheels, wheel covers and spare tire amongst other things.

You're probably right actually .. I was thinking it was that same washer. I couldn't use the stock one with the Illuminas so I just used a generic washer instead cuz there wasn't one provided by Tokico when I got my struts. I'll try to get my hands on that part number also, thanks for the suggestion.

Now I just gotta figure out what's causing the rubbery squeaking from the rear driver side. Even now that the rear doesn't sit as low, the squeak is still there so I don't think it's the bump stop anymore. I hate suspension .. it's too damn noisy and it drives me crazy!!
