What can you fit in your P5?

Hi,

I'm all but certain I am going to get a P5 in a month or so, and was wondering what kind / how much stuff you've managed to fit into the back of your P5s.

I'm primarily concerned about getting a couple mountain bikes in there. I would think they would fit, but I just want to make sure

Thanks,
djb

It'll fit... bit tight but then that's actually better cuz your bikes won't bounce around... I've put my raven w/moto fr's and my buddie's santacruz with boxxers in there... just gotta pop the front wheel and lie em flat. if you've got rims then make sure to put them crank to crank so you don't put all the weight on your spokes...

Yup! that'd work too! or if you're scared you're gonna bust up your bikes when you drive under low clearances, get a swingman... the P5's hatch opens quite straight up so it should work, but don't quote me on that!

What can you fit?

I'll tell you what I've fit.

1) Complete day bed frame with matress. Only stuck out about a foot out the back.

2) 36 pieces of sod. I definately went over the weight rating this time and I suggest putting down some plastic.

3) In a single load over Christmas... 1 unassembled computer desk still in the box, 1 microwave oven still in the box, 1 27 inch color television still in the box, various other Christmas gifts, me, my wife, younger brother and our luggage. All on the inside and not invading our personal space.

This car is great. I can pile all sorts of junk in here and can still manage to run circles around SUV's.

well ive fit alot in her, and actually didnt scratch anything..... but i fit this:
Two 4x12 Peavey 5150 Cabinates
Two Peavey 5150 Amps
one Harkte Bass Amp (sat in front seat, as it is about 15inchesx20inches or something like that)
and two electric guitars, and a bass

what a task that was to fit.

one of my friends bands here locally (idle apathy if youve heard of them, i doubt it though) has a protege5 dedicated to hauling their crap.... yella of course...lol

the P5 does a dang good job for hauling stuff

Dag... I thought I put alot in mine, but it's nothing.

Just 2 bags of cement, 2 bags of fertilizer, four 8' 2x4's (diagonal from the back corner came half way across the front passenger seat). 80 lbs of pet food, 20 lbs of cat litter, 4 cans of paint, and my wife.

Oh... and a Pepsi. I'm thrilled to finally have a cup holder that a 20 oz. drink will fit into.

And on several occasions, with the back seat down I've carried my two Labrador Retrievers around, and they love all the space. They can move around, they don't get into each other's way, etc.

Here's what I managed to fit into the trunk with no problem:
2 Image Dyanmic IDQ 12's with 1.3 cu ft of air space per sub.
1 Amp rack
2 MB Quart 3 way crossovers

1 Fosgate 250.2 amp
1 Fosgate 1 Farad digital cap
1 Fosgate fused distro block
1 Fosgate ground distro block
1 Stinger car audio aux battery

And that's all I need in the trunk can't fit much else

Focal Racing G5 18's

No problems fitting two mountain bikes in mine. Pull off front wheels, drop bike seats, and these have long travel forks.
