When you wash the car, you can also use dish soap to strip the wax. Of course, this means that you have to rewax the car again since it is going to take off ALL the wax.

Lately, I've been using this product called "The Glosser". Basically, they are soft sheets impregnated with wax. When the car is dry after washing it, wiping it down with The Glosser takes out all of the water spots and leaves a silky, high gloss coating of wax. You can also wipe down plastic parts, etc. No buffing, no residue, no stains on the plastic. Makes putting a coat on those polished alloys a cinch. This is probably the best way to get a "just detailed" look after running the car through the cheap-o soft cloth car wash down the street. Usually I don't rave about such things, but boy what a fantastic product.

Of course, the car still gets a good coating of Meguiar's every month or two. But The Glosser sure keeps it looking freshly detailed in between the rare times I am able to devote an entire Saturday afternoon to detailing the car.

So how long does this stuff last.

Im really pshyched up about the rainx wax, no more water spots hopefully. If only I could find a place around here that caries it.
