Re: torque wrench

I have a Sears Craftsman torque wrench. Catalog no. 44596 is a 3/8" drive which measures from 5-80 ft./lbs. and also the corresponding newton-meters. It costs US $90 and seems to be a very accurate (+ or- 4%) and easy to use wrench.

I highly recommend it.

well I went to sears and got me a big 1/2 craftsman 20-150 torque. It was about 50$. I thought it was cheap for a usa made product. The one you got was the same price, but I wanted something to torque my wheels properly.

Good choice. The FSM calls for lug nut torque of 66-86 ft./lbs., so even the 3/8" drive wrench would be adequate here also. Happy torqueing.

According to FSM: engine oil drain plug is 22 to 30 ft/lbs.
transmission oil level and fill plugs both 29 to 43 ft/lbs.

Make sure you use new sealing washers on all plugs when reinstalling.
