I don`t have torque....

I have a por 91 LX doch and doesn`t have to much aceleration in 1/8 mile I was doing 12.7 seconds, it doesn`t burn oil; I don't know but i read about these pros do it in 10.8 sec, can someone tell me?

My question is, it has two cam shafts (DOCH), If one or the two cam shafts are not in correct place can I loose power and consume to much fuel?

Between 1500 and 3500 rpm the car doesn't acelerate, it feels like it has a 1.3 sohc engine like the mazda 323, it doesn't have torque; What could it be?

could be that the timing of your engine is off....or that u could also be correct tho if thecams were loose you wouldn't be moving to far....or could be something completly different...But that's all I can think of for now

Dual OverHead Cam is DOHC quit spelling it, so that it sounds like "douche"

as for torque the best way to put down power it to upgrade your clutch. That is if your engine is running properly.

check your mixture. i'd put my money on, "you are running way too rich" and that is more fuel management related. pull of the cam cover and check to see if a cam hasn't skipped a tooth. it is possible you have an advanced exaust, but i still say you are dealing with more of a bad sensor than a jumped tooth on the timing belt.
