I toped out at 142 in my 2003 protege es

 

I hit 124 ish with a light incline and someone drafting me. When I was drafting them I was going 145ish on the pullout, then quickly slowed to 125-128.. This is also with everything out of the car- all my fun clarion crap and 1 175 lb person in it... it also had 1/3 tank. So Woot.

 

calling the flag on that one....doesnt the speedo only read 140?? I never even heard of a MSP hitting 142...this is total bull plop

 

I had an acura tailing me, so I do know how fast I was going.

i dunno, my MSP with my custom exhaust hit 138 and felt like it had plenty more to go....this was me by myself on I-20 from atlanta at stock boost.

 

Once I put on my CF valve cover I reached 210 mph...Oh Yeah, Baby!!!

 

Matty that was in a MSP.....there is no way he was doing 142 in an ES unless turbo'd...maybe kph!

 

my 02 pro dx the gastest ive ever had it is at 112 mqybe 114 and it just didnt want to do any faster which is weird cause u guys are all talking about 130 140....is there somthin wrong with my car?

 

no youre just one of the few guys that come on here and for some reason don't want to lie about how fast they had their car ..130+ is complete bull plop..this has been discussed before.....I've had more revs left at about the same speed but the car still didnt want go go any faster

 

uh, my p5 will hit 125+ I may just have to get you guys some pics or something.

 

Are we not talking about a bone stock 2.0 here? I could believe 125ish maybe but another
17 mph is gonna tough to grind out, don't you think?

well, I have the MS muffler, an SRI and a 4-1 header.....at the time I pushed it hard I only had the ms muffler.

 

Yeah I've gotten mine to squeek past 130 for a few seconds... till I saw a cop, then I wapred my rotors At the time I had a Kartboy and the baffles removed form my airbox, so to whoever says the P5 cant hit 130, blow me AND my car. I have a video, but its tape so I have no idea how to upload it

 

Oh by the way, that's with me (270 lbs) and two of my friends (230 and about 170) and the both the passenger side windows down
