I thought i saw somewhere that the p5's are goverened at 114...maybe Car and Driver, or Road and Track or something, but I may be wrong. I have never gone above 110 and I dont plan on it. Even when cruising at 90-95 I swear I can watch my gas needle move down. I was in a stock MSP with a quarter tank of 107 octane and he was pushing 130 easy.

I wish I was still drivin my Integra GSR...that thing puts my p5 to shame when it comes to top speed and...well I guess it puts the p5 to shame when it comes to just about anything...

Does anyone know if there is a fuel cutout at a certain speed for our pro's? Or is that only associated with a few hundred rpms after redline?

Brad.

I'm with MacDaddySloMo--until I see evidence otherwise I'm flyin' the BS flag on all stockers claiming top speed over 130mph

If you wanna prove yourself please don't post a picture--I've got photoshop too... no, I want real proof... only an officer signed misdemeanor for speeding will convince me!!!

Except when hauling a 27" flat screen TV... then your P5 is the SHIZZZNITE!!!

When i tested my 2.0 ES i hit 120 exactly on the line and had plenty of RPMs left but it wouldnt go any higher (when it was stock)...i have even more trouble thinking a P5 could do 130 cause of the extra weight.

sorry you're a doubter but I have no reason to make this up. I stand to gain nothing by telling you guys how fast I went.

p.s. you know very little about cars to say that a cat-back exhaust will slow you down on top end because of "backpressure". Thats one of the stupidest things I've heard in a long time.....then I remember "Mr. GTO".

Well hate me all you want But I've been 140 mph, 147 to be exact and I have to call BS on anyone that says hes done over 125 in any protege, turo or not. If you did your speedo is way off. It takes alot of power to get to 120 letalon (Tx word) 130-140. Our cars don't have it. Nor do they have the arodynamics. Maybe if your pushing 220 + WHP. other than that it ant happing. I got to 105 with my car and it took for ever to get there.

My ES hits 120 easily... never had it faster, but it definitely felt like it would've hit 130.

aren't most MSPs trapping around 105? are you saying the car is almost at top speed by the end of 1/4 mile? that's madness...

ok hughes, dont hate cause your car is slow. if you want to believe a MSP cant hit 135+ fine hell i can barely merge cause the car is so slow. i hit 125 in my 94 lx so 135-6 in the MSP wasent that impresive to me considering its 9 years younger and has a turbo. and about this PROOF stuff you can stop that now, thats the last thing we need is people going out driving 120+ trying to take pictures of their speedo. how about you just deal with the FACT that they can hit those speeds and we call it a day

I know my P5 has hit 130 on the speedo (next time we'll use the GPS) but we had to have a lot of open highway to do it!

I don't hate, if I wanted a fast car I would have kept my Z28 which is the car that I hit the 147 in. That car was pushing over two times the whp as these msps p5 and so on. I love my little car. And I would put it up against any other NA protege of any kind. This question has been asked before and we all had the same answers. I didn't say or tell any one to go out and take a picture. If you want to you do so at your own risk. I did it once and hit like 105-7 and the RPMs were almost max. So no I don't see any pro hitting 130 except may be the MSP But I say that would be close to max.
