So I got my auto loan paid off a couple of months ago. It feels really good not having a car payment anymore. Anyways, will they send out the title automatically or do I have to contact them and request it?

 

Depends...sometimes you already have the title, but it has the lienholder information on it. When you pay off your note, they will send a notice to you that there is no longer a lien on it and you can take it to the tag agency (or whatever you have in your area) and they will get you a new title.

 

You should get the title from the lien holder.
