tire sizing

check out this website if you want to see if a tire will fit on your wheel without screwing up the speedo, clearances etc...

its really cool, just pump in your existing tire, and then play with the numbers to see if the outside diameter of the new tire is close. Some sizes are exact, while others are within 0.2" larger or smaller, which shouldn't affect anything. Have a tire catalog handy for the most poular sizes in the brand you want.

Perhaps something else to think about:

MP5 - 23.7"OD with a 195/50VR-16
MP3 - 24.1"OD with a 205/45ZR-17
MSP - 24.6"OD with a 215/45ZR-17

Same overall bodystyle and general suspension layout etc, therefore a good rule of thumb would be to stay within 23.7" and 26.6"...

I put on a set of Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grips, size 195/60HR-15, 24.2" OD, and the overall diameter of the tire looks better (not the sidewall height or rim size), and in fact would probably look the best closer to 24.6"OD like the MSP. I would love a set of the MP3 or MSP wheels...
