stock dB's of the stock horns???

does anybody have an idea what the stock dB's of our horn is? my wife is complaining that nobody hears her puny horn, and wants a louder one. i found one that's claiming to be 132dB's.

Our horns are puny. No gigantic suv can hear us. We need upgrades!
I know pepboys has horn upgrades, Im thinking a low tone would cut right through all of the sound deadening of modern SUV's. The only question is do we go with the one that looks like a snail or the one that looks like the stocker. are there any diffrences?

I would run it with the stock horn.

the one for 14.99 is rated at 132dB, and has the snail shape. the one for 12.99 is rated at 130dB, and looks like the stocker diaphram. i would run it with the stocker as well. i might buy one and try it out.

I definately agree about the weak stock horn. I really want the "conductor's special" they have at hornblasters.com, but the cost/weight/space issues don't really make it a feasable option. It would be reeeealy fun though. Check out the "Terror on the Streets" series of videos on their site. Hilarious!

Freeway blaster

Recently went with the 132 db low tone freeway blaster snail thing. Oh what a difference !! After the stocker went south I replaced it with the pep boys special. It was a simple bolt on in the stock location with no mods. You can really get noticed with this thing.

i put the twin trumpet airhorns under my hood. it has a small compressor about the size of a coke can and 2 small trumpets. i installed them in the space in front of the battery and they are really loud! my wife loves to use it! you can't miss it!
