Sticky heating controls (Help)

Need some help with something guys, a while back I had a new Sony Deck installed, quite a nice one , but anyways in order to install it Futureshop had to open up the console area there, when they put it back together,

I noticed that it was a little harder to slide my temp gauge to hot, but it still worked,

Today i noticed its very very hard to slide it over and there was no head coming out of it at all,

Now I haven't opened up the console to have a look behind there for cables, getting behind there is hard as hell I think, without scratching or breaking anything , but has anyone else had any similar problems like this, and anyone tell me what the % of how bad it could be...

if the heat coil/core is gone then I am fucked, if its just the cable then thats not bad to repair.

could it be anything else?

Thanks guys

I had this problem as well when I had my deck installed.
Basically, whomever reconnected the wiring to your heating controls made them too tight and that's why they feel hard to turn, and the temperatures are all wrong. Make sure you DO NOT try to force the ***** over because that could damage the connections. You will just have to take the console off, and reattach them properly.
They are very finnicky!
