I recorded a sound clip and converted it to an mp3 file so everyone should be able to play it. I recorded it this morning, it was about 30 Degrees Far. and I popped the hood and reved the engine to about 3000rpms 4 or 5 times. Here is a link, let me know if it does not work for anyone.

OMG! I can honoustly say that I am 100% totally sure that I do not have that problem.

BTW my car is a canadian model 2001 ES with GT package, 5-speed, took delivery in July of 2001.

Hopefully you guys can get a resolution to this soon.

 

I have not tried to locate the sound yet. Its hard enough to record it. It will go away within 3 minutes of driving. You think it could be valve tap. I have heard of that before but I don't know much about it. Valve tap doesn't sound like a good thing, could some one explain it to me.
