Someone hit my bumper....

...the other day in the parking lot, but lucky for me, she left her information. She hit the back, and the scratch is all the way down to the black (my car is laser blue). Would i probably end up getting a whole new bumper, or are there ways to fix this? Would an aftermarket bumper be a better option?

You don't need to replace your bumper.
I had the exact problem with my bumper. Some guy was more busy looking fo things in his glove box than making sure his car was not moving. He hit me and my rear bumper was scratched down to the black. I took it over to the body shop and now you can't tell where the scratch was.

wow, same thing happend to me on tuesday, and i have a lazer blue 03 damn lady in a 98 minivan, a big ugly lookin' thing, decides she wants to back into me, leaving the parking lot of the COURTHOUSE of all frickin' places, my back light housing is shattered and fell off, and the back bumper is scratched through the paint........her insurance is offering to pay half, i think i'll go for that, to try to get anything else out of her or her insurance would mean going to court, and i don't have time for that..........anyone know any good aftermarket lights and bumpers??? i'm going to be checking some out to price them...............

I must say you have very werid insurance practices . Here in Canada if you back into someone you are at fault . Personally I would go after the whole thing ,if her insurance wont pay that sue the driver for the rest in small claims court . Why should you have to put out your hard earn cash for someone elses mistake .thats why we pay such high insurance rate for .

the new taillights i'm getting are http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/mapr98eutaca.html the carbon fiber look will match the interior

the bumper i'm not sure on yet, the wings west kit is an attachment, right??

and this site has two bumpers which look like complete bumper replacements, which is what i want....... http://www.aspecmotorsports.com/99to03mazdaprotege.htm i think i like the evo 1 kit better, it would match the msp sideskirts better.....

does anyone know of any other bumpers available???

wow, i got rear ended couple days ago too, but not a single scratch on the car (weird huh?) shook the car crazy but no damage at all, this was during the rain as i was pulling out of my tech school, and some mom decided not to look at my 1 square foot tailights and run into me....
