With a second child on the way I need to sell my 5 speed 2002 ES. Edmunds list the private pary vale at 10.2k Do you all think I can get that? I have heard sticks are hard to sell, but then I have also heard that they can add value to some cars? Any insight? (I hope to get a 5 with a stick) Thanks.

 

What's the mileage, overall condition, any problems? I guess in my personal opinion I don't think it would be very easy to get that much money out of it, but somewhere between $9-10 thousand seems like a fair price for a 4 year old car.

As far as manual goes it just depends who you're trying to sell it to. If it's someone that plans on doing some modifying to it, then it'll probably increase the value. If it's gonna be a family car used for grocery getting then it would decrease the value. That's just my personal opinion ... maybe someone with actual car retail experience can tell you otherwise ...

Sorry but this is according to NADA and KBB values for private party- I think you might have looked at resale value... I before choosing to quit and go to school used to be a car salesman at a Ford Dealership- so I have used their figures a few times- hahaha

Anyways- best you are probably going to get out of the car is 9 to the right person. Good luck on the sale...

 

i think alot of it depends on miles but between 8500 and 10000 is a fair range i'd agree

 

i do not know if it's good news or bad news for you but few weeks ago i bought 2002 protege dx w/ 45K miles and automatic transmission in immaculate shape for $ 5900 cash....
