i now have the new caliper in hand... will be trying to replace on sunday... looking at it, it seems pretty simple...

people said it was a metric allen wrench needed to undue the caliper, is this correct? does anyone know the exact size i need?

once i get teh caliper off do i undue the brake line and place it in a bottle of brake fluid so i dont have to bleed the brakes? or do i get one of those one man bleeder bottles and do whatever it tells me?

can this really be as easy as all these websites are saying?

Yeah, it's pretty simple to replace a brake caliper. But you will need to bleed the brakes when you are done. Prolly sufficient to bleed just the one you replaced, but when you break the line you will introduce air into the hydraulic line so you can't avoid that.

job is done... my cousin showed me exactly how to do it... in the future it seems like something i can do now without an issue...

it's so nice not to hear a nasty grinding noise now...

it ended up being the rear of the caliper and that pad were locked... talk about gooves!!!

congrats on the learning curve. You're now more knowledgeable than 90% of honda/toyota owners in the US.
