Roof rack removal

hey everyone... i need some opions on what i should do.. i got the weather strippings for the roof racks .

i found this site ( i think from here )

it pretty much show how to remove the roof racks and all..

the only problem is. when i install the weather stripping. is it nessary to fill the holes with a sealant? will it leak if i dont? if you guys have dont this before. please help me.

also im putting up the part number for all those who are planning on doing this. i hope i can help as much as the person who made that sit has helped me.

I would HIGHLY recommend putting some sort of sealant on the holes....after all....what a pain in the butt it would be to have to take your entire headliner back out if they leaked.....not to mention the mess it could make.

it looks awesome, however are those part numbers for the replacement rails? I dont like that gap thats left w/o the rack on there.

I don't know how Canadian versions are but the car should have come with plastic covers/rails to cover up all the holes when you take the roof rack off. There are even instructions in the owner's manual. All my stuff came in the trunk when I bought the car.
