i just do it on my driveway -

when i back onto my driveway, place the ramps, and then drive up onto them, the car is level, AND on ramps.. best of both worlds!

plus, with the angle of the driveway, you get a little more room for working under the car!!

Just make sure you chalk the wheels really good..

I bought a set of Rhino ramps, even though I own several jacks and jackstands. Though, the first time I used them - kerplop. Yeah, no ****, kept going and they were under the car! Damn! However, I used my jack and jacked the car up high enough to remove them. The car was undamaged but a groove in the center of each ramp was present from where the car rested abruptly on them. I tried it again and all was fine. Moral of this story, take it slow...
