Quick Question.

Now that i have a $650 CDN alarm installed in my car, if my car gets jacked and stripped, does the insurance pay me back for the alarm too? Or do i have to insure my alarm separately?

If I remember correctly, you have to notify your insurance company of the installation of the alarm. Of course, keep all of your receipts handy in case (knock on wood) your car does get stolen. But once you've notified the insurance company, it should be covered.

That's doing things the right way. The other way is to just tell them if your car does get stolen. In which case, you sorta playing russian roulette.

Of course, things may be different out there in the smoke-filled hippie-land

i say let your insurance company know you install it so they might lower your pymts if they did not already assumed you had an alarm in it. like dru said, keep the receipt just incase you need to prove it.
