quick oil filter question

everyone is saying fram is a horrible company, why?
(i currently have a fram, i got it before reading up, tommarow i will changing to synthetic and using a purtolater pure one)

i have heard people saying a fram will mess your car up? how is that possible?
Just curious if i have done any damage by having it in there for about 1700 miles

we're gonna put one on the mazda soon so unless someone points out a problem with the little mazda one I guess I will proceed as planned

btw where have you heard fram will mess your car up? i doubt its true.. we've been using fram for years on all our cars and no problems. the 350 chevy started losing compression after 80k i think but thats just because its a POS and is running WOT half the time

I've been converted, and shown my evil ways of using Fram. Their quality control is said to be shoddy at best, and secret company documents show they acknowledge the filter media can fail and collapse completely within the filter housing.

I'd rather spend the extra effort to look for another brand of filter than use Fram (or Fram made: Pennzoil, Quaker State, Motomaster (Canada), Petro-Canada... there could be more).

For more than you'd ever want to know about about oil filters (not to mention air filters, oil, gas, additives, etc.) check out this site....
