Purchasing Tomorrow; Please Read/reply

Sup, neighbor - I'm from NY, too - and if NY is expensive, Long Island is second only to Manhattan for the top honors.
I bought my P5 over a year ago. They had just come out. The dealer was honest with me - he knew I did my research, and knew the invoice prices on the car and options. Basically, he told me I can have the car for invoice plus $500, and they believed that was fair, because the car was new and would be a good seller. If I didn't buy it, the next guy would. I agreed, and signed the papers.
The total price of my car, which included the automatic and moonroof, mats, cargo net, etc. was a few pennies over $20,000 - this included ALL sales taxes, destination charge, registration - the whole deal. I can't remember the true price of the car before all the other crap (taxes, etc.) - but those of you in other states and areas need to recognize that sales tax here is 8.5% - that's a hefty addition to any sale, especially a car, which boosts the final price significantly. If the car was $17,000, for example, sales tax adds another $1445 to the price - that's a decent amount of money. My math tells me I paid just about $18k for the car, plus 8.5% tax ($1530) = $19,530. Add freight and registration, and you come out just about at $20k by my estimates.
I couldn't care less about people who got a "better deal" - I love my car, I afford the payments (4.9% for 5 years - best deal available at the car's introduction), and I needed the car ASAP when I bought it.

If you got a better deal......fine....good for you.....but after the fact of someone else buying....why not keep it to yourself rather than spoil someone else's mood? It's not like they can go back and say...."well, so and so...in another state only paid this much"....lol
Congrats Larry! Enjoy the ride! =)

I just got my Protege 5 02 1/2 about a week ago, with all the goodies sport shifter option, hell they thru in the floor mats 5free car washes, and alarm and intake for $16500.00 I got bored messing with the sales guy it was starting to be a long day, I took advantage of a $500.00 dollar rebate on top of that, they thru in life insurance for both me and the wifey, and I am gonna make them tint the windows before the summer is over.
The worst part about the car is the Sound system really sucks@@@ otherwise I love the Protege that my wife drives!
Has anyone that has a cat back on their car actually dyno tested there cat backs?
Done
Injen intake
Custum 3in Catback, less resonator
Chipped (auto trans cpu shiter limiter modified)
Working
turbo is being built for it
lowering the car
debating on whether the cams need to be changed for the ridculous amount they want for the hp gain

Congrats on the car, tho! And you can find PLENTY of good audio advice here - seems to be the first thing many people trash is the stock system.
