so i'm at the situation where my car can't pass a certain amount on the speedometer again!

this is the 2nd time this has happened.
the first time was when it couldn't pass 160kmh when i was in 4th and then when i shifted to 5th, it slowed down to 140kmh and wouldn't go any faster.

i've seen my car pass the 180kmh mark and then the delimiter would kick in, but that's normal.

anyways, now it just won't pass 120kmh!!!
what gives?
why does this keep happening?
could it be clogged injectors again? that was the first problem with it but at that time the car would hesitate to go on mornings. it doesn't do the hesitation on mornings but it refuses to pass 120kmh!!!

any of you guys ever experienced this problem?

Is this with the stock motor - or the new one you were swapping in?
Any change to the ECU? That is the only 'limiter' that i know of in the system. I assume you checked plugs and ran some fuel inj cleaner through the system and fuel economy has not dropped.

this is with my current stock engine.
i haven't swapped the engine yet.

i haven't changed anything with the ECU, I didn't check my plugs but i did use a fuel treatment when filling the tank and it didn't do any good.
would a fuel treatment and fuel injector cleaner be the same, or are they different?

and no, fuel economy hasn't dropped, it's actually better if you ask me.

that'd mostly be because i can't drive as hard as i'm used to...lol

I had a similar problem once, it was the ignition breaking down. If you can't find it anywhere else, maybe it's one of the coil packs. Could be the fuel pump or fuel lines too.

Did you ever find the problem?

I had a vw jetta that would not go past 35mph turned out to be a vacuum leak.

I had a Chevy Sprint that wouldn't go past 60 mph, turns out it was just gutless, LOL.

So amrit, still having this problem? Are you getting a CEL? I have had cars do this during cold weather. Turned out to be moisture in the gas tank. Try adding some fuel line drier, like Heet (not fuel injector cleaner). You might also want to change your fuel filter if the fuel line drier doesn't work.
