The SR only has a few more horses than the P5. It wasn't the SR-V. The race should've been closer.

If it only has a few more horses it might have been how the cars were driven.

do you have a AT? cause my pro5 does pretty well against those older preludes. 1st gear is almost identical. you probably need
to launch at a higher rpm.

on the right tires, preludes will probably outhandle our wagons. we might be able to win going downhill. the open diff on our pro5's are terrible.

Which Prelude's come with a limited slip differential, or is it just a much better open differential?

you know, im not really sure, but even with the open diff the suspension is much better that they dont get a flying interwheel during a fast corner.

I raced a lightly modded '94 Prelude (the model with Vtec) from 20 - 55mph...he won by half a carlength. Performancewise, he had an AEM cold-air, full custom mendrel-bent 2.5" exhaust with no cat, and UR underdrive pulleys. All I had was a cheap cone filter and a crush-bent 2.5" cat-back with no muffler (stolen).

When we pulled over to talk he asked what engine I had in my car...I told him stock 2.0L DOHC....he turned so red lol, guess he thought he was really fast or something, yet he only barely beat a basically stock P5!

not necesarily. I can go pick up a 93 supra for $8-10k then even throw $10k on top of that and have at least 500hp for around $20k. It may not be new but its still cool, and fast as hell.

Ok, maybe that's possible, but you would still spend countless hours just working on it, and we all know time is money!
