There are a couple places to go when you want answers to many common questions. For model/parts/mod information, TheMAN's ProtegeFAQ is the definitive information portal:

For factory service (parts removal, maintenance, etc) the factory service manual has your back. Luckily, you can find it online, in PDF format, here:
