Simota CAI installed

I just installed my new Simota CAI I got from Kargoboy. Its really nice quality, went on without too much trouble. I mean, it was a pain but I knew what I was getting into.

It idles and runs smooth just like I had the stock air box. However, the engine note is distinctly deeper. I can also feel a little more low end power, overall, not much faster, but definetly noticeable. Check out my car domain page in my sig if you wanna see pics.

No no my friend .. that's all wrong. Not to be harsh, but you're defeating the purpose of the intake by installing it that way. You need to switch the pipes. Look at my pic a little closer and take notice of the angle on the pipes. They need to line up nice and even so that the air can flow easy.

Also, the Twin Charger pipes are different diameter and the purpose is for the air to FIRST come into the wider pipe, then get compressed into the smaller pipe and get shoved into the throttle body. I know you don't wanna do it, but it would be in your best interest to take it off and reinstall properly. I have a lot of other pics to help ya out with too so I'll post them up for ya.

The rubber fittings that connect the two pipes to the MAF will also start wearing out very very fast if you keep it like that, so it may be acceptable now but within a year or so it will start cracking and leaking air if it stays like that. See my post below for pics.
