Problem with windows
I've already been to the dealer about this noise. They replaced the driver's side window regulator, which solved the problem -- for a couple of months. Now the grinding sound is back. I'm going to have them look at it again, but at least now I know it's not just me noticing this.

Stocker
You know listening to it it doesn't sound like the gears are grinding (too fast for that, the gears are pretty big). It sounds more like perhaps it's flexing a bit in it's mounts. Oh well...if in the next 3 years of the warranty it doesn't get any worse, I will just live with it and say "oh well". But if it does get worse I will have the dealer on it right away
It doesn't grind on mine. However I notice that the driver window mechanism doesn't sound as smooth as the other three. The motor "hums" a bit louder than the rest. But that might due to me taking apart the driver door panel too much (4 times now) when trying to fix my door rattle.

I was just wondering if anyone else was having problems with their power windows? My passenger one goes down, but doesn't always wanta go back up.

Sorry P-Mom! I haven't had any issues like this on mine.. How do you get it to go back up?? Does it just eventually go back up on its own?

I know...but we're trying to discuss a potentially related problem. Seems that the power window/sunroof mechanism is one of the P's week point.
