Power Door Lock Problem

Hello,
Thanks in advance for any help. 2000 Prttege' ES. Right rear electric door lock stopped working. Can lock and unlock by hand. Other doors work fine. Does not work with door switch or remote. Any suggestions where to start looking. Thanks again.

If you sit next to the door and click on your remote can you hear or feel the mechanism trying to lock/unlock? If you do, then something may just be blocking it--if no, then you probably have a short or bad wire...you're gonna have to pull the door panel to know for sure.
I'm not an electrician but you should be able to check the wires with a meter to see if you are getting power to the mechansim.

I just had that problem with my 03 P5. It was a bad door lock actuator. Mine made a very loud "Brappp" noise when I locked/unlocked the doors.
Still under warranty so it only cost me my time, not my $$$
