Please Help!! Can't decide what color P5 to get.

Hello everyone....I just put a deposit down on a P5. I have until tomorrow morning to decide what color to commit to. I'm really fond of the Silver and Blue, buy can't choose between the two. Please give me your suggestions.

I also ordered one with a Moon Roof, but I'm not totally sure about that option either.

Here are the options I ordered

Polished Wheels
Wheel locks
Floor mats
Moon Roof
Deflector

I can't wait to get the car, I just want to be happy with the options and color I ordered.

Thanks

get a YELLOW ONE!!! LOL oops...that wasn't one of your choices...

get the moonroof....I didn't really want one....but the car I found had one...so I went ahead and took it with the moonroof. I have not regretted it since...I love the moonroof.

well if you have really narrowed it down to silver and blue....

get the blue....MY reason? I like blue better....the Pros...its a nice lookin color....cons...it shows dirt/dust more.....the silver doesn't show dirt as much because its a light color...HOWEVER....I think the Blue is nicer when its clean.

I have seen surveys done on auto color...Silver is one of the most popular colors....meaning there are more on the roads.....all makes and models together....

so if you are only considering those two colors...get blue. My two cents.

Actually, I had the same problem, I had dealers pulling silver cars for me. I have had a bunch of black cars, georgous, but a pain in the *** to keep clean. So I am test driving a silver and park it next to a blue in the lot, I have a blue on order. Washing the car isn't that bad. Don't listen to us, it has to be your decision, sorry

I'll say blue, but I'm completely biased. Both of our cars are blue. lol

I'm a big fan of the blue the protege5 comes in. If I were to get one, i'd get either blue, or pure white. so in your case, blue!

The P5's have a lot of black on them, and look best (at least to me) in any color which complements the black well, which includes just about every color they come in except blue.

If you've narrowed it down to silver and blue, get the silver - Then you can save an additional $500 and not get the polished wheels (which you would HAVE to get, if you bought the blue).

The silver powercoat on the standard wheels looks better (at least to me) on a sliver car than the polished ones do.

I'd skip the moonroof too - I had one on two different cars, seldom used either, and both became a leak problem, years on down the road.

I might be biased on this but go with the blue. I just recently bought my P5 in this color. I was in the same boat. I had narrowed it down to two colors, silver and black. But then I saw my first blue P5 at a dealership and it became the color I wanted the most. And I don't think you need to get the polished wheels with the blue color that another post suggested. My P5 did have the polished wheels but I had the dealer switch it out for the brushed alloys.

I wanted the blue because it looked better to me but the advantage of the silver was it doesn't look as dusty. But since I use the California Car Duster and McGuier's detailing spray, dust and dirt are not a problem for me. It might be a little extra work but it's not really work when you can spend some time with your baby.

And I recommend the moonroof. If you don't get one you might regret it. Unless of course you don't want to spend the extra money for it. But it sounds like you're really not concerned about that so I'd say go ahead and get it. I also got the abs/side air option. It's a must for me. Either way you'll love your new P5. I can't stop thinking about how beautiful the car is and the feel of the drive!!

I love these threads...

Get the moonroof. Just like Sir Nuke, I didn't really want one but I didn't have a choice if I wanted side airbags, and now I'm hooked--I love having a moon roof. Of course, realize that both Sir Nuke and I live in southeast Texas, where 45 degrees outside generates a lot of "oh my god it's damn cold" from the locals.

As for color, get the blue. I like the blue better, even though I own a silver one. I went for silver because my wife already had a blue Protege and the dark interior meant a dark exterior was out for Texas summers. You don't have either of those issues, so I'd get the blue.

I will agree with Don M, though, on the shiny wheels. I don't like 'em on the silver but they do look better on the blue, so there's $500 you could save if you went with silver.
