Nope, none of 'em were! That's why they had to start wearing makeup again!

Actually, it's considered a sport wagon.. the fiance has a 200? Hundai Elantra GT. Its a sport wagon... although... there is something about Haundai that just doesnt say "grand touring" to me.... specially for its poor gas milage.

Hyundai doesn't say much period. The Tiburon is the only performance style car they have made. And to me it seems like the Tiburon was the same try as Geo's storm was.

Don't sicount Hyundai. they are a great company and in the next 5 years will be a major player.

I saw about 3 years ago where they had a "beta" engine that was a V6 twin turbo making 400hp and ran on hydrogen. Rumor mill also has it that they are working on the next Tibby and it's either going to be a supercharged 2.7L V6 or a turbo 2.0L with AWD. They already have the AWD hardware on the Tuscon and it's an almost identical chasis. Don' count them out yet.

WHEN they do, they'll have put there spot on the market. But until they complete it, they're just another company "working" on something. How many ideas have Ford been working on, and actually hit the market.

I'm not saying that hyundai couldn't pull it off. But I'll wait till they actually pull it off to start giving credit.

they are the fastest growing automaker in the US. They have increased their yearly sales by double digits for the past 4 years (record in the industry) and they are VERY profitable right now. Kia is taking over their "entry-level" cars and Hyundai is stepping up into a more specified sporty and luxery market.

I would love to work for hyundai....there's a plant here in Montgomery and before it even opened thay had already expanded it to include an engine plant. Now they have been open for about a year and they are looking to expand yet again. They make the Sante Fe here, the 2.7L engine and I think they will start making the new Pick-up truck for Kia or the new tibby. Hyundai is on the rise like a freight train.

Still. There is nothing about Hyundai that says. GT. Her car is nice, but it's nothing fast. I'd rather have an old Redneck Camaro... ick.

The word of doom. KIA. LOL, I'd rather buy a stock VW Bug than a Kia. Atleast the VW bug has more stuff available than a Kia. But I have to agree with fiveseven. Right now there's nothing GT about Hyundai. But they have caught my curisoity though.

Thnx Roddimus, I didn't know Hyundai was working on that engine.

And atleast I can give some credit around here.

DUde. Kia says it all. KIA "Killed In Action" Hence the reason I have seen about a dozen of these POSs broken down on the side of the road. Just this year! WOOT I bought a 1984 Toyota 4runner! LOL It's a POS! Not bad for fishing tho.
