Actually, I noticed something when I went and got my P5 registered. According to the company, and the state of South Dakota. (wasn't born in this state THANK GOD!) The Mazda Protege 5 is considered a HATCHBACK. The state uses body codes, and the one listed on my registration is 4H. Which stands for 4 door hatchback. And the code 4S, is for 4 door station wagon.
It's my opinion that the difference between the hatchback and station wagon. Is the length of the vehicle. Or could do like Mitsubishi and call it a sport wagon. BTW, anyone see those new boxes yet. I couldn't believe it. The Lancer Sport Wagon. The thing has sharper edges than the Honda Element.
