noise from the front end
About two months after i bougth my P5 it started making this clicking noise in the front. It only makes this noise when my car starts rolling from a complete stop and also when i jerk it too much. I have a manual transmission.
I would like everyone with manual transmission to try this.
First turn off your radio and fan complete silence in the car.
Put it in the first gear and drive the car normally as you would normally don't rev it too much. And see if you guys can here anything especially from the front end.
My car is at the dealership rightnow they are looking at it.

I heard that noise as well, really like a small plane flying above my head ... really annoying ... my p5 has only 1000 kms ... I am taking the car into the dealership monday and let them check it ... email me if you got some good news regarding this problem.
Thanks a lot = )

I have a '99 ES 5-spd... had it for 3.5 years.
The clicking noise from the front suspension seems to be a normal trait of the design. I have learned to live with it. However, my right front suspension creaks really bad when it is cold out (under 65 degrees F, I know it's not cold, but for San Diego it is!). I have no idea what is causing it. I've had the dealership look at the front suspension several times while it was under warranty (I have 64,000 miles now), and they never found any problems.
I also sold many 3rd Gen Protege's and driven hundreds of them. This clicking I've heard in many of them.

noise
I heard the same noise for the first time tonight, and I had the car for 8 months. It's a good thing that I was on this site, I feel much better knowing others have the same problems. I'm taking it to the dealer for a check-up. I'll let you know what they said.
