Thumbs up MP5 on the list!

Just received the June Issue of Car and Driver and they have a section comparing six wagons (for the young at heart!). Guess who made the list and guess who's at first place!

6. Suzuki Aerio SX
.
.
.
5. Pontiac Vibe
.
.
.
4. Ford Focus ZX5
.
.
.
3. Toyota Matrix XRS
.
.
.
2. Chrysler PT Cruiser
.
.
.

* Drum Rolls *
.
.
.
1. Mazda Protege 5

Also they have a preview section for the 2003 Mazda 6! The Mazda 6 looks pretty, especially the Mazda 6 Hatchback! Looks sweet! Also in Mazda 6 Wagon!

Go grab a copy and you'll find it really interesting! Finally a good review for our MP5! Your $4 is worth it!

Yeah, I prefer calling it the P5 too.

leungwingkei,

I got my latest C&D today at the mall close to where I work. They just got it in today. Whereabouts are you anyways? Richmond?

I totally agree, I used to buy MP5 for the Army, and let me tell you I know you need more than a driver's license to get one

Ignorant because you don't agree with someone calling it a MP5?

WTF difference does it make if someone calls it a P5 or an MP5...it is the same freakin thing. How can you even call it a mistake (oh...and only newbies make this mistake), If someone said "yeah I own a Mazda MP5" I would understand, but as for refering to you car as a MP5...hell even the 4 Mazda dealerships I priced mine at refered to the Protege5 as a MP5. It's all preference...you can't just make a judgement that you are an idiot if you refer to your car as a MP5. That is the real ignorance. ...Why can't the members of this forum just get along

Thumbs up

To get tech on you. Its a Mazda Protege 5 if you live in North and South America. Over Seas its a 323 Austina. Something like that. Just go on Mazda New zealand, Europe, Japan and other Nations. America is just to lazy to go back to the 323/Familia roots.
Mazda Protege 5 =MP5
Protege 5 =P5

Pretty soon people with Mazda Speed Protege's will be on the site. They will probably use MSP or maybe like some one on here who has PMS. LOL. Since the release of the MP3, Protege 5 drivers use MP5 because it looks cool. No they don't have the 5 generation mp players out yet. The 4 generation is coming out this late spring/early summer.

To me it does not matter.

I agree and disagree with PM (whoops...I meant Protege Menace). If people want to call their Mazda Protege5 a MP5 let 'em. Its just an abreviation like ITR (Integra Type R). The MP3 is sorta a dual name. Mazda Protege 3 (323) and the MP3 (audio layering on musc files.)

I dont mean to continue this discussion but most of the people that dont even own a MP5 are the only ones who care what people call it. Ill make a deal with all the ppl who care what i call my car; make my next car payment and ill call it whatever you want. Go to go i have to reload, err refuel my MP5
