new guy/tinting
whats up , my first time here. i bought a 2003 protege lx laser blue about 5 months ago and ive been very happy with it, no problems except for the cheap paint job - it chips off pretty easily with any bump or scratch. Plus engine could use a little more oomph, but it gets the job done. Anyways, i had a few questions. I got the basic lx model and its about time i start pimpin it out a little, and i wanna either start with a spoiler or tinting, im thinking tinting. what level tint do u guys think looks nicest? also, is there somethin i can put on the inside of the wheels so they dont rust so easily? Thanks a lot

Hello and welcome to the club. There will be many people on here that will offer you advise on what percentage tint will be the best. I have 30% up front and 20% in the back on my ride and I think this looks pretty good. But in hindsight, I think 20% all around would have looked even better.
The choice is up to you, take a look at other peoples tints. You can't always tell from picture so ask people on the street or your friends what they have.
Also, check your state laws on how dark you can legally go. Good luck!

I have 20% tint all-around and it looks awsome you can check out my ride to where it says www on the bottom of the post to see how the tint looks so you can get an idea; As for what to use to protect the wheel from rust I don't know what you mean? the rims? the rotors? hub?

For the rotors there is really nothing you can do, except get aftermarket ones from either Arospeed or Ractive which are cross-drilled and slotted as well as cadmium plated to prevent rusting on the surface of the rotor .

If your rotors are rusting badly, take the car into your dealership. There is a TSB out on this and they will replace them for you under warranty. Of course the new ones still rust but hey, at least you get new rotors! I got mine replaced when I took my car in for an oil change back in September.
