Hey there, everyone!

Proud owner of a used (but otherwise perfect) '02 Protege 5...gorgeous yellow.

I got lucky...only 19,000 miles and in amazing condition. Perfect inside and out. As a bonus, there was already a short shifter installed, and boy does it make for sweet shifting! I've been nothing but impressed with the car since I bought it...which was only a week ago. I've been especially amazed with the way the thing handles. A bit of push when hard on the gas, but otherwise totally solid.

So far, all I've done is to remove the valve cover and paint it wrinkle black...and I gotta say it looks great. There was just way too much bland aluminum silver under the hood. Now the oil cap looks a little goofy, though, so as soon as I find a nice one it'll be replaced. I've also ordered a short-ram intake...basically to just replace the stock airbox, make it sound sportier, and maybe pick up a few ponies. I'll let you all know how it works out.
