New to forum wanted to say hi.

I just got my Protege5 just over a week ago and I love it. Was wondering if any of you were in the atlanta area. And also I have read that the vivid yellow is limited production. How limited are we talking? Thanks in advance

U got a 5.8L RX-7? Interesting, which engine is that, where did you get it off of?
And Vivid Yellow is a limited production colour, it's not really that special, it's just a lot more rare then let's say black or blue.

the 5.8L RX-7 is a conversion. My father in law had the 7 and I had the motor. Were in the building the car to race. I cant wait. The 5.8L is a 351 cubic inch ford motor.

Thats the times were shooting for is in the 12s. ITs gonna cost us little more than 600 we have to rebuild the motor and buy many a things for it. My father in law had 3 rotoray motors sitting around but didnt really want to rebuild any of them. Cant wait. Prob wont get any racing done this coming season. This is going to be one of those projects that we piddle with now and then.

Alot of people do crazy swaps like that. Personally I think its great puts a new meaning to CUSTOMIZING, making it you own, so u put a 5.8l 351, windsor or cleveland?

Its a windsor. The cleveland doesnt have then after market support like the small blocks (302, 289, 351W) do. Found out the other night the garage was broken into. They took the hydraulic floor jack. Luckily they didnt take any of the heads or the block.

Protege Menace Yea I would love to have a third gen (they had one in the show room when i was buying my car got to sit in it and it was niiiiiiccccccceeeeee) But its a little bit outa my budget. Thanks for the link there alot of questions I need to ask about the car before we get it done. Thanks
