I'm alone on the Forum
Just like this guy:
Henry Bemis: And the best thing, the very best thing of all, is there's time now... there's all the time I need and all the time I want. Time, time, time. There's time enough at last.
[Henry goes to pick up a book, but in doing so his glasses fall off and break. He slowly raises his glasses to his face, seeing they are completely broken]
Henry Bemis: That's not fair. That's not fair at all. There was time now. There was, was all the time I needed...

Is that the forum in general, or me in particular?
I've been busy of late, we are in Jacksonville discharging our cargo (almost feels like a real ship now). Once that's done it's up to Charleston for the yard period. Found out today I get one of the vans in my name, I'll regale everyone with tales of my derring-do against South Carolina ricers!

have absconded to themazdaforum.com as you probably already know.
Too bad because this place was finally starting to show some signs of life.

It was showing signs of life in the few remaining members but nothing from the owners. Frequent system crashes, faulty updates and lack of contact from owners make this not the friendly home we've become accustomed to.

I miss this forum, but I have to admit that I have also moved to the new one. There's more going on, and the owners of this place weren't really showing any real interest in it.
I'll never be able to leave this place for good though. You guys (by that I mean everyone that's posted in this thread so far) were honestly the ones that taught me everything I know about cars so far. When I bought my P5 and came here I was a pure n00b that knew nothing, and this place taught me a lot.

Now excuse me while I go check out this other place...

it's sad to say but ALL forums I'm on now are nothing but off topic banter.
I think we've run the gambit of useful topics to discuss. We just need to start a chatroom for everyone to visit...who needs bandwidth when all you're doing is arguing over who has more "medals" or which color of NA p5 is fastest??

you know if my car wasn't so reliable and i actually had money to put into it with the wealth of aftermarket support it has.........
caturday and anything 2nd gen related are pretty much the only things that i check here...just saying. i don't plan to go to another forum--not that i really knew other people were besides the clue that less were on.

Matty, I agree with you, absolutely, that we 'regular posters' have basically
run out of gas.
I guess it's because most of us bought our cars (I'm talking about the 3rd genners, mainly) when they were new, or nearly new, and there was a lot to discuss. Now even the 3's platform is four years old!
And a lot of have moved on and don't even drive Mazdas any more, yourself and Mike included. Those of us who still have Proteges are probably in the final stages of modding.
I myself have cam gears and cams sitting in my garage and I find myself constantly debating whether I should sink another $1000 into an engine management system and $??? on a tune and installation. Or sell the stuff and put the money toward an RX-8.
I still want to keep my Protege as a beater and dd because I still love the thing.
Anyway, now I'm rambling but you get the point.
And with new people, of which there aren't many, it's hard to be patient when you've seen the same questions thousands of times. But I try because I remember when I knew nothing about this car. Maybe this is why forums die off.
I can't see the other forum being any more than OT banter, either. But I can see it maybe as a retirement home for weary Mazda owners.

I might have one for sale here shortly Nate, if I decide to buy Daedalus' old MSP I'll sell my MSP turbo kit I bought for the P5. It'll come with everything. Turbo, mani, FMIC, pipes, vacuum lines, fans, gauges, etc.
And I too will NEVER sell the P5. I'm almost paying it off anyway, and once that happens it will be an excellent car to have as a backup and daily driver in case I get something more aggressive.
