need advise

hello all. not a real newbie, since i haven't bought one yet. getting a great deal on a yellow mazdaspeed turbo within the next few days while i 'de-tune' my nissan for trade in.

when i first drove the car, i was so impressed by the overall feel, handling, comfort and the power. however, it needs MO-POWER. i have been searching the net for several hours now and cannot find enough info for parts upgrades for this car. can anyone help me and point me to more info for upgrades for more power.
thanks.

thanks. will do. made my mind and will purchase it this weekend. bright yellow with black interior is my choise.

one other question, will these cars last for many miles. i drive an average of 25k miles a year, and can put easily 100k on a car i own in less then 4-years. don't know much about the mazda motors, but will the turbo take the beating and keep on ticking, with proper maintanace offcourse.

well if you live in cali, i know first hand how hot it can get, what i can suggest is first of all change your oil and change it frequently, it does not take long to break down especially whaen it also aids in cooling the turbo, ive read where people in this site have gone many miles without changing their oil but i beleive when it gets 80 or above for 7 to 8 months out of the year as it does here in south florida, the oil cooks in this heat .the manufacture says every 3k but i would strongly suggest 2k and that will keep the motor running smoothly but if you want to use synthetics, well thats entirely up to you, iran into that dilema and thought if im going to change it frequently im going to use a quality dino oil.
And as for the turbo it can last a long time if you can either remember to let it idle for about 20 sec to a minute to cool off the turbo or just buy a turbo timer, this WILL prolong the life of the turbo, and stay with premium fuel.theres more but im outta time.

Ya I change mine every 2k and I'm here in the south too , just to be safe (eh).

ouda time (hee hee) wink wink !j/k

OH AfterMarket PARTS ? WELL.............. there really aint that many and the few that there are ARE WAY TO F--KEN HIGH !
I don't know if we should wait a few to see the price's drop or what , But I do know most of the **** they sell can be made a lot cheaper and I know you can have a lot of it made for you cheaper !

Like my down pipe to the IC , I will have that one made down in Dallas . My nephew has a lot of gearhead friends down there and I have hualed a lot of pipe up here So I figure I can damn sure get a deal on some aluminum pipe some where an prob even get it bent . Who knows till u/I try !

thanks again. i, too, change my oil at 2-2.5k miles. it's a cheap and best way to prolonge the life of the car. i have changed ALL fluids on my nissan as recommended, some much earlier(manual tranny fuid every fourth oil change-at $25 a pop, who cares).

i kinda figured there won't be too many after market parts for this car since i tried searching on the net. bummer, since i know it has some serious potentialsl
