Okay...I an NO WHERE near 16....but.....My P-5 is my "TOY" right now....maybe like Maxx's Dads Vette is his. I have an old (93) nissan Pick Up that gets driven on "NASTY" days...you know...the ones where the sun's not out?......NO...no one...and I mean NO ONE eats or drinks in here....which made that whole thread on getting rear seat cup holders pointless in my opinion...lol. I am a bit obsisive in the department about keeping her clean too....As far as I am concerned...and for as long as I can...she will be kept in show car clean status. I did it with my custom I had....and see no reason why my P-5 can't be the same....BOY WE GOT OFF TOPIC HERE DIDN'T WE!

If you're both referring to the "rule" (...No girl, whether friend, significant other, or otherwise may drive the said applicant's car unless justified by the removal of the alleged girl's shirt and undergarments therein located...) Then I know exactly where you're coming from. I actually got in an argument with my girlfriend about this, where I denied her access to my car. Long story, but I think you see where I'm getting at. Why can't women just love... Better yet, fall IN love with cars the way we do. (Legal disclaimer: Does not apply to ALL women.)

Out of curiosity, how many of you out there have even heard of this rule? Me and my friends all use it on a daily basis when all the ladies ask to drive. (Well, maybe not a daily basis... )

To: KeiraP5

Had a gander at the pics of your car(s?) Is that Neon yours too? Not too shabby looking...

To: 5SpeedP5

Glad to hear you baby your car as well. Alot of people have the misconception that we teenagers "get a car from daddy, bag it, and get another one..." Good to see another young man who values his ride as much as I do...

To: All

My Dad has set some very strict conditions on the car. One speeding ticket, running a red light, etc. is all punishable by removal of the car keys for a period of one month. I don't drive recklessly, speed (often ) and I certainly don't run red lights or anything that will endanger myself, my passengers, or others on the road... As such, I think these are very fair conditions!

Just a note to everyone, I see nothing wrong with babying your car and taking care of it. The neon in those pics is my brother's. We took those pics after a day of washing and cleaning our cars. (By the way my brother is SpaR/Ticus on this board)

Just you wait the novelty will wear off soon. It's nice to keep the car in awesome shape but some days you won't feel like it.

My Dad took delivery of his 2000 Corvette on September 3rd, 1999. To this day, I still don't think twice about washing it and cleaning it inside. It gives me a real sense of pride knowing that I did such a good job cleaning.

Don't start ME on the novelty wearing off thing. Not gonna happen, sorry!

Can I smoke in the car?
Change the cd!

What do you guys do to keep the smell fresh in your cars???
Amen to that. No one drives it but me, unless they're very well-off and can afford to buy me another one, and still let me beat their ***. Smoking in my car will get you bitch slapped and left on the side of the interstate. and only my co-pilot (front passenger) plays dj. I found the best air freshener that keeps it smelling fresh, and new! Those little gel air fresheners, that look like chew cans. The mountain medley flavor is the best :] I stick it on the heater thing under the drivers seat.

if its NOT a nice day...the P-5 stays in the garage... I have a vehicle to allow Mother Nature to abuse...its called my P/U....its paid for....its very dependable.....you can throw stuff in the back and scratch the bed up....if it gets a door ding...it will just match the others....That is what I have it for. I have personally seen people get a car that they were very proud of...and could either afford..or manage to baby it all the days they had it....I personally witnessed a man in his early 70's drive a 1956 Chevy hardtop into a Chevy dealer in 1978 and trade it in on a new Caprice....HE baught that car new....it still had plastic seat covers on it....it was one of the absolute cleanest daily drivers I have ever laid eyes on....and was kicking myself for not having saved up enough money to buy that car right on the spot....needless to say it didn't last there very long.

Oh and Maxx....I know LOTS of guys that apply that rule....not only for them IN the car...but if someone wants to LEAN on their ride....there better be BARE skin touching the paint.....and only women can get away with that one. :{D

BTW: i'd kill for a garage like that!!!!!!! omg!!!!!! thats what i'm gonna build when i get my own house, it'll have a hydraulic lift, tire mounter, clutch tools, engine hoist, air tools, spring compressor, etc. etc etc
damn why not just buy a service shop and live upstairs, would be cheaper, plus you have to get permits to build/install one in a residential area.

Yeah maxx we ain't hatin on ya, as long as you're humble and appreciate what you got, its all good. As for those rules about the car, well I take very good car of my yellow p5, but with my 5% tinted windows I hotbox the **** out of that thing with the greeny greeny, on the freeway, in the parking lot waiting to see a movie, whatever. It don't smell, or adhere to cloth like cigarettes do so its all good. The only time I ever encountered a problem with weed smoke was in my eclipse I made this fat *** ****** blunt, and it wasn't the weed, but the damn cigar made my car stink for weeks, oh well live and learn. Oh and craig I love your picture thingy by your name, Tetsuo kicks much ***. The collector's edition DVD is helly fresh.

Hey Nick, I'm lucky.... my wife usually washes the car in the winter. (Summer, my job.) Like the lift though. Whats under the car cover??
2nd question, what does your dad use on his leather seats, I've been trying to find something good for my P5 seats. Andyour coffee question I answered on your "shift point post"
