MSP Intercooler hardpipes...

Well this weekend was to be a glorious step in modding my car. I had finally rec'd the custom intercooler hardpipes for my car and was so excited about getting them installed. So with the help of Matty we made the attempt on Sat. night and to my dismay the mandrel bent pipes were at least 2-3 inches off and could not be installed . Well I will not name any names until I see what the pipe fabricator has to say and what he will do to correct this problem. It was a really nice quality set with black powder coated pipes w/ hump hose conectors and brackets if it would have fit I would have been very please considering these on run $212.00 shipped and would add 1psi to the stock boost. If the pipe manu. does dick me around everyone will know about it on this fourm not to deal with him, but if he does come through he will get a recommendation on this forum....

it was DSMConvert on msprotege.....no need to pussyfoot around about it.. He sent you some bullshit pipes that weren't even close to fitting.

I made a big stink about it on the other forum and it's already turned away 2 potential customers of his. He would be VERY wise to settle up with me/us real quick because I can be your best friend or worst enemy.

LOL I know I really did want to say but I am not much of a person that likes to step on peoples toes until they absolutely deserve it I was going to give him a chance to redeem himself (but it might take another month to get them LOL). Then if he did not pony up I would join every Mazda fourm I could just to tell everone the bad experiance. I just hope to God I am not out $212.00 cause God knows I have very little money coming in to be able to afford any mods

my pm to him

"Who made these pipes and are they legally retarded? There is no ******* way these pipes fit a msp. They are at LEAST 2-3 inches off on every connection. Not only that but the hoses are so small that they can't be reomved from the stock intercooler without cutting them or cracking the plastic inlet/outlets. This is VERY bogus stuff. Whatever jig you're using to bend these pipes you need to throw it out. The bypass pipe is not even facing the right direction. It' puts such an extreme bend on the hose that it kinks it flat.

As you can probably guess I'm pretty pissed off. I need to know when I can expect the new set of pipes here at my door that will actually fit this application. I have pictures of everything that is incorrect and I'm willing to send them to you to show that I'm not making any of this up. This is the worst fitting piece I have ever encountered and I've dealt with some **** in the past. Fix this problem ASAP.

Matty "

his reply to my pm..

"SHip them back you'll get your money back, we test fitted these on the car before we sent them to you. I was warned not to sell you to b/c all you do is knock all vendors, hence we documented the pipes before we sent them to you just so when you decide to bash us on the forum we'd have proof you're full of ****. We've sold nearly 50 sets all off the same jig and never had one complaint or problem. Sorry our products aren't a "God Send". You know you ahve a bad rep when other vendors go out of their way to warn others about you....

-John"

apparently the pictures I posted weren't proof enough that they dont fit. Dave do you just want your money your back or what??

So what I get from him is that T-MSP's car is different from every other MSP out there, haha.
And you are a whiny bitch!
Right.
What a dick.
I guess it's too much to expect that when you pay good money for something and it doesn't fit, it's YOUR fault.

Well Matty I know I want the hardpipes but I can see how he can say they fit fine when picture speak a thousand words....I mean a little off ok no biggie I think we should ship them back and dare them to acctually fit them on a MSP cause as you and I know they will not fit but yeah I guess he is not going deal with you nor me so getting the monet back is about the only option.....Damn I guess I will just have to but the CS down pipe instead...well CS is making IC pipes too but I will just have to wait...

you can do whatever you want. You have the pipes in your hands. The problem is that you'll have to pay for return shipping which I don't see him paying for. I think we should hold him on this for a few more days and see what comes of it.

what he going to a cerin change of heart?? I don't follow..... The guy's pm to me said "send me back the pipes and I'll give you your money back".

I said "I want the pipes we paid for that are going to fit this car" He hasn't said anything else back. I posted the pictures and everyone who looks at them admits they are messed up. Now let's see if he fixes it.

If you send the pipes back to him you'll have to pay return shipping out of your pocket ANd he'll probably not refund it all because of the one cut hose.
