Mp5 Price
hey ive been reading about all the prices everyone has paid for there cars and all and i just want to say i think i get a great deal. i walked in with my dad (who lent me 8k) and said i wanted the MP5 i just drove, white with no options. my salesgirl said ok 17,800. i said is that the best? she said yes. i looked at my dad and said,"well lets go get that civic then." the sales girl looked at us and said what a great price it was it was oly like 400 over sticker. i said yeah well im looking to spend 16k tonite not really any more then that.
she looked at myself and my dad and she said well we can work on the financing.... i said no you misheard me i said i was going to spend 16k TONITE in cash. well after her making a few trips to see her boss and all i walked out with a new MP5 and new tags for 16,100. and they had to give me the pinstrips for free since i had said i wanted the car as i drove it... without pinstips!! can you believe that they want 125 bucks for those things!!
so i think i got a deal what do you guys think?
btw it was a jan 02 when i got the car... before everyone else was buying them.
the trick is to say no enough and stick by your price... make sure its reasonable though. and in my case i paid cash (thanks again dad)
02 white MP5 off the lot w/tags $16,100.00

How much I paid for a 2002.5 Loaded
I am 19 y/o with my own money and own financing. I was looking around at what was available in hatchback so I could fit my bike and stuff in the back. I test drove the MP5 here in Eugene Oregon. I was talking to them during one of their "big sales events." I was ready to buy right then and there but I knew I wasnt going to grab my ankles. So the sales manager told me he would give me the loaded model with leather and everything for $18,300 when sticker was $19,700. I was like no.
So I called 5 other dealerships and spoke with the Fleet Manager (the guys that dont make commission) and told them that I wanted a 2002.5 LOADED P5. I was speaking with the dealership I sold my 94 Subaru SVX LSi back to and he said he would try his best. Invoice on my P5 $17,850 including ABS, side airbags, moonroof, Leather, Premium wheels, and also bumper guard, Sunroof Reflector, and cargo tray. I Paid $16,900 with licensing. That was at a Portland Dealership (about 130 miles away from where I live.) When I went back to the Eugene Dealership for my first oil change the sales manager happened to be in the service dept and we talked a bit... I told him how much I paid and he called me a liar there in front of everyone. I let it go and figured it was his loss. I still feel sketchy about going into there to have any work done....but its hard to drive a 130 miles to get service done. Anyway since I got it i have put Limo tint (5%) all around and found a Civic Si Antenna to put on it. Just to let you know....when you work them you can get a great deal.
