Hey the Mazda Techs are AWESOME!! its the sales people that are a pain in the ***.. I am getting my rims refirbished cause of bad corrosion... They had my car for the heck up that was coming up. and then tried to get me to get an alignment cause of a "LITTLE tread wear". Thats another $90 plus tax. Yet my buddy who has a shoip said its fine. I have had problems with their sales epople in the past and this was just unreal. Alighment is FINE.
He said they would give me the car and when i came to them to get my alignment that they would do the rims at the same time. Gee i wonder if they are trying to get money out of me. So i said no.. take the car, do my tires, i get the check up, the tech will get some coupons for the beer store, and i wont be taking it back to them anytime in the future.

SO much for the commercials talking about "Great Service." BAH.

who cares: the CEL is gone and you will now pass emissions testing and inspection.

it isgetting off-thread (but does that stop me? Nnnooooo! )

-but-

I begining to see that each dealership is different (same car!) My salepeople were great! But the shop?! I got nothin' but atiTude from the techs. The SRI had me labled as a racer and freed them from any responsibilty for helping me. The parts counter guy was cool tho'...

So i now that i am out of warranty (>50K) they will never see my shadow again! Service is the dealership's breadNbutter - so *why* are they such @ssh0les about our cars?! I would NOT recommend this dealership to a friend.

My point? If you are waiting to to be 'out of warranty' before doing the 'mod' (whatever it is) JUST GO DO IT! You have no 'warranty' anyway!

As for your computer getting reprogrammed, are you sure it's not the flash for the cold weather rattle? If so, that's also under warranty and is free.

Nope. This was a performance upgrade for the car. I was talking to the tech today about it and asked him if it was about the rattle. he said it was not. But he said i MAY want to reprogram it once it gets cold out. You know.. canada.. cold.. PFFT. still wicked hot here. Damn Igloo is melting *grin*

Hmm... "performance upgrade" eh? Can you find out more about this? I've never heard of any performance upgrade to do with the computer other than the put the MP3 ecu in.

From what i was told, car runs like a computer. It has restrictions set in its programs. By changing the figures to increase certian things, you get better performance... My buddy had his computer in his Camero changed and it added a world of Difference to the car...

I will be going into Mazda to get my other rim sometime this week. I will go down and talk to the tech that did the programming or "Download" as he called it. And will ask him what it did EXACTLY.

Whatever it was, there is a noticable difference inthe performance of the car.
