Motomaster engine oil.

To my Canadian brethren:..........and anyone else in the know

Would any of you happen to know if Crappy Tire Motomaster Formula 1 dino or synthetic oil is any good??? I know the Dino is about 3.99$ CAD for 1L and synth is 7 or so...cheaper than other synth brands.

Im in a 1.6L 2001 protege, all stock, use it maybe 3 to 4 times a week driving and was thinking of switching to synth but not sure that it would be required with my driving habbits for me to spend extra $ for synth or staying with dino.

I use 10W30 in the summer
5W30 Winter in Ottawa.

Yeah Dino Formula 1 is 3.39 CAD for 1L.

Their version of full synthetic is 6.99 or something close for 1L, taxes exra.

I just went today and put Castrol GTX 5W30 dino in the car since I change the stuff every 3 months.

Plus Crappy tire does not seem to get the point that my car takes only 3.2L NOT 5. They wanted to put 5 in first since thats what "the computer says". I said just 3........ended up with 2 spare bottles when I got the car back.
