It's okay. You can stay with me and see what it's like when a man treats you right. You can take the guest cot, I'll sleep in the wet spot.

More importantly it's what SOMEONE ELSE can do TO YOU with THEIR free hands.

Uh huh. That being said I learned a valuable lesson tonight. ASK THE GIRL'S AGE. Or more importantly DON'T ASK AND DON'T LET HER TELL YOU, ASSSUME SHE'S 18.

...

That is all.

I got an auto because it's too hard to talk on the phone, eat McDonald's, read the newspaper, and shift a manual at the same time. Although when I'm not doing those things, I wish I had a manual.

I got an auto because the dealer couldn't find the car in the same color in stick. Yeah, I chose color over stick because I wasn't sure about manual in the first place. I'm just acquiring my initial driving experience, and so I figured that I don't want to have to think about switching gears at the same time. There have been times in the two weeks I've had the car that I was glad I had an automatic. (Although I'm sure I would've survived fine with a manual).

The car still performs well in auto, and heck, even if I don't get all the power out of it that I could (with a stick), it still handles rather well and is still a ton of fun to drive.

My next car will be a manual. By that time, a lot of the driving skill is going to be second-nature to me.

in my experience... i've been able to down shift and shift around corners in an automatic anyway... why would you need a sportmatic when the typical auto does the same function?

by the way, i drive a stick and its more fun than the auto

Is it really bad to do that? I heard it's really tough on an auto tranny if you use it like a manual. If so, if I did it every now and then do u think I might develop tranny problems in the future? I love taking corners and stuff, but I wish i had the freedom to downshift going into it.... I've done it every so often, but I'm worried about the transmission.....
