Manual Or Automatic?
 

WHAT DO YOU DRIVE AUTO OR MANUAL? AND WHY?:o

I drive a manual because I like to have control of my car.

I drive an automatic. Basically, I am too damn lazy... Plus I never bothered to learn how to drive a manual.

in north america it's something like 85% that drive automatics....

manual! too many problems with automatics...

I'd get an auto so i can burn out in 1st :rolleyes:

Manual. There was no way I was going to pay an extra $800 just so I wouldn't have to shift. Plus my last car was an auto and it didn't always shift when I wanted it to while I was passing somebody.

If its a small economy car with a small engine and little power, go stick shift.

if its a larger car or a truck with more power and a big engine, go automatic.

The large cars or trucks with big powerful engines and used for towing are better with an automatic. These cars are harder to drive with a manual.

The small economy cars are very easy to drive with a manual because the power is low and the clutch pedal very light and easy to push in.

I would have paid $800 for manual over auto... getting it standard was great, haha

manual, the car just felt a lot more sluggish with the auto.

Manual, its the way to go...

Manual! I learned to drive on one (81 Jeep CJ8) and an automatic has never felt right. Real men use a clutch.:D

it's more fun to drive manual (i take the scenic routes to everything though).

I'm an Auto gal myself.. (no "real man" here Mark_02DX).. I used to have a standard.. and it was fine.. but this is a road trip car.. and a few of my friends aren't comfortable driving standard.. since I don't care either way.. I went Auto..

Standards traditionally get better milage.. but it is VERY close now.. and the way I've seen zoom-zoomers drive standards.. I'd imagine the milage I get is the same or better than some as my car usually shifts at more fuel effecient places ;)

I've been very impressed with this Auto.. I've never had an auto that I had so much control over.. I can have her shift up at any rpm I want (from about 2200 up to the fuel cut off obviously).. as far as shifting down goes I don't have any control (without D2, etc).. I just let her do her own thing..

The only thing I don't like.. is the cruise control in this car is not terribly smart.. and it goes a little strange at some speeds (around 100km/h is bad) and the car shifts pretty wacky.
