and why we even mentioning autos here..
i mentioned first post i'm stick.
anyways, 4000 rpms just seems way too high on stock tires..

naw, with the right throttle control 4000 or a tad above is
within the 'right amount' of rpm for a good launch. its not
4000rpm all the way... more like:
rev to 5000rpm > slip and enage at 4000rpm > play with
trottle 4000~3800rpm > as soon as it grabs the road completely exponentially increase throttle to wot.
but, if the surface you are launching from is bumpy, dont
do this as it will put a lot of burden on the 1st gear teeth...
in that case dont launch and let the guy go. its not worth
breaking your tranny for.
